WordPress 3.0.1 RC Announced

Pete Mall of Developer’s Mind posted “WordPress 3.0.1 RC1 Released,” announcing the release of the first public testing version of WordPress.
The changelog shows mostly a lot of bug fixes, little fixes to improve performance, and functionality.
Among the many fixes is an improvement in the Wordpress to WordPress “dang it” feature introduced in WordPress 3.0. This changes the lowercase p to P when people type WordPress, a long-time irritation for many in the WordPress Community proud of the WordPress trademark name. As with all things, if the forced uppercase P in WordPress bothers you, there’s a WordPress Plugin to force it back to whatever you type.
Most of us wish the built-in forced capitalization would also correct for Wropdress and Worpdress, among other more colorful spellings that liter the WordPress Community. :D
