Joost de Valk Announces Quix, a “Command Line for Your Browser”

Today, Joost de Valk of Yoast fame announced a side project he’s been working on called Quix, billed as “your bookmarklets on steroids.” It’s installed simply as a bookmark button in your browser toolbar, and allows you to, when clicked, enter all sorts of different commands to perform different web-related actions. We found it similar to Quicksilver for Mac OS X or Ubiquity for Firefox in some ways.

To get a better idea of what Quix is all about, check out Joost’s tour video:

Quix is available for nearly all major browsers for free (with easy drag and drop installation) starting today. Looks like it could save bloggers a lot of time! Try it out and let us know what you think, either in the comments or the WordCast forums!
